Interested in joining the lab ?
Our strength is in quantitative cell biology and molecular genetics, but we are highly interested in also recruiting colleagues with a background in computational biology, engineering or bioinformatics.
We value diversity, and we are committed to making it easier for students and researchers from underrepresented groups to participate in research. If you are member of such a group, or if you have experienced or are experiencing any disadvantage, please mention it in your application.
Please send your CV and a short statement of your long-term goals and research interests to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Applicants from Germany (German or having lived in Germany) are eligible to apply for a Feodor Lynen Research Fellowship by the Humboldt Foundation.
Prospective Ph.D. students
Our group participates in the following Virginia Tech Ph.D. programs
- MCB (Molecular and Cellular Biology)
- GBCB (Genetics, Bioinformatics & Computational Biology)
- TBMH (Translational Biology, Medicine and Health)
- Graduate program of the Department of Biological Sciences
Please apply through one of the programs, but feel free to contact us beforehand if you have any questions or if you just want to make us aware of your application.
We have recently assembled a presentation on the benefits and challenges of undergraduate research. Check it out.
